Mounting this controller inside a metal box will block the signal to the controller.

THIS IS THE ABOVE GROUND POOL LIGHT
Open the app and connect to your lights. The connection is made over BLE or Bluetooth Low-Energy. For most devices, you will NOT need to connect to the lights in the bluetooth settings. The app should work out-of-the-box without directly connecting in the bluetooth settings.
If the connection does not work on the first attempt, try forgetting the device, within your bluetooth settings, switch off the power to the pool light for 10 seconds, then back on, then open the app again. If it still doesn't connect, uninstall the app then reinstall it. Once you get this set up, you won't have to worry about it connecting, it will connect automatically when you're around the pool and your bluetooth is turned on, on your phone.
When removing your old light, use a strong nylon string or "pull tape" (home depot) and attach securely to your old wiring. Pull the old wire out and use the string or pull tape to pull the new wire through. YOU HAVE TO USE OUR NEW WIRING!
When pulling the new wiring through, use "wire lube" (home depot) for ease of install. It does NOT take significant effort to pull the new wiring through, its almost certainly, smaller than the old wire you pulled out. If the new wire gets in a "bind" pull it back and use more wire lube.
The wire provided is fairly strong and has nylon inside it, HOWEVER, its not indestructible!

This light is NOT Alternating Current (A/C)! You have to use the transformer we provided you with, that converts A/C to D/C (Direct Current).
The controller is 12 volts DC, the light is 12 volts DC.
REFER TO PAPER INSTRUCTIONS AS WELL.
IF you are still having problems connecting to the app, read this:
1) Turn off bluetooth on your device
2) Turn off power to the lights and controller
3) Turn ON power to the lights and controller
4) Open the app. It will ask you if it can turn on bluetooth. Allow it to do so and it will connect.
It also asks for permission to record audio because it DOES have a feature to strobe the lights to music, EVEN IF, you don't have music downloaded on your phone, like previous videos explain.
